Color science
How color behaves, and how it should feel.
Color science is the study of how cameras capture color and how we shape it afterwards. Every camera sees the world a little differently, which is why two photos of the same scene can feel completely different. Good color decisions are what make an image feel warm, dramatic, or true to life. We study how color behaves so our tools can make those decisions easier. You stay in charge of the look; the science supports it.
RAW development
From sensor data to a believable image.
A RAW photo contains unprocessed image data directly from the camera sensor. Before editing, these images often appear flat or unfinished because they are designed to preserve as much detail as possible. RAW development is the process of turning that data into a natural and expressive image. Chroma focuses on making this process faster and more intuitive without removing creative control from the artist.
AI-assisted grading
Intelligence that proposes, never imposes.
AI-assisted grading means the software studies your image and suggests a finished color look. Instead of starting from a flat photo and dozens of sliders, you start from something that already feels close. Most tools stop there and force one style onto every image. Chroma treats its suggestion as a starting point you can reshape however you like. Less time on technical steps, never less creative control.
Creator workflow automation
Removing the repetitive steps.
Most editing time is not creative. It is repetitive: importing, sorting, and applying the same fixes again and again. Workflow automation handles those repeated steps for you, so a shoot of hundreds of photos can move through editing in a fraction of the time. Nimalthas builds automation that prepares the work, leaving your energy for the images that matter.
Non-destructive editing systems
Every decision stays reversible.
Non-destructive editing means your original photo is never overwritten. Every adjustment is stored as an instruction on top of the image, like layers of tracing paper. You can change your mind, undo anything, or start over at any moment. Chroma is built this way from the ground up, so experimenting is always safe.
Chroma, a local-first intelligent imaging system.
Chroma is the flagship application of Nimalthas Color Science Enhancers: a professional tool for intelligent color grading, RAW development, and fast creative workflows, built to run entirely on your machine.
Explore Chroma →Technology should support the image, not replace the artist.
Our goal is to create tools that speed up repetitive technical work while preserving creative control, visual emotion, and personal style. The grade belongs to the creator. The software's job is to get out of the way faster.
